In 2000 Pastor Jarrett Petero and his wife Trisha moved to Southern California where Jarrett served as the young adults pastor on staff at Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa. After five years of serving Jarrett felt God’s call to return to Northern California where he served on staff at Cornerstone Fellowship for nearly two years. It was at Cornerstone that Jarrett felt God’s leading once again to reach out to the San Ramon community. On March 6, 2006 Jarrett started a home Bible study, which in turn by September 3, 2006 led to starting Sunday services at the local community center off Bollinger Canyon. While the locations may change throughout the years to come, the emphasis of the church has always remained the same -- to make mature disciples of Jesus Christ as His Great Commission commands, and to do so the same way it has been successfully done for almost 2000 years as described in Acts 2:42; by continuing steadfastly in teaching God’s Word, in fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers. Calvary Chapel San Ramon believes that when the emphasis of the church becomes what God wants it to be, then He will add to the church daily such as should be saved as Acts 2:47 declares. |
